Photograph by Patrice Baillieu
Guy Weir Artist and Painter made his home in the Perigord region of France in the early seventies. He captures this rural and beautiful province in striking ink and watercolour.
Every winter he leaves France for more exotic climes, to travel and to paint, immersing himself entirely in the experience sometimes travelling rough, sleeping in native huts, seeking out the culture and soul of the countries he visits.
Much of the paper he uses is made specially for him. His work is to be found in many collections around the world.
You can view a selection of his work in the Gallery pages.
